Garth is the owner and founder of Thievery. For Garth, Thievery has been a wild ride of learning and discovering, its been an experience thats made his life richer through the incredible community that the place has become.
Garth is equally comfortable shooting stills and directing video, he works commercially as well as maintaining an art practice, regularly holding exhibitions and collaborations with other artists. His favourite things are photographing skeletons and collecting taxidermy and an ideal weekend includes both fly fishing and whisky.
Caitlin is Thievery's go-to girl for all things production, accounts, administration and social media. She practises her creativity in a different way to the rest of the team; through the offering of organisation, the logistics of liaising, and the craft of coordinating. Her ability to make a potentially stressful shoot run with fluidity is a testament to her hard work and care for all clients.
Away from her desk, you can catch Cait running a trail in the Waitaks (she’s the secretary of Thievery Run Club) or out on a yoga-practising-gin-sipping-podcast-listening adventure. Give her a call if you want to chat about a future project...
Paris is the Studio Manager of Thievery as well as a photographer and stills editor. She brings her positive energy and relaxed nature to both roles. Paris seeks to capture authentic moments in her photography, creating thoughtful images with attention to detail. People & nature are her favourite things to shoot; combining these two on photo adventures is her favourite thing to do!
Paris is also a lover of podcasts, documentaries, travel, photo-books & zines, lake swims, indie/folk, yoga, novels, mountain climbs & graphic pencils. Oh and tea. So much tea!
Erin is Head of Post-Production at Thievery and been around almost since the beginning. In her years here she has found her niche in Post, with specific skill in editing and retouching. Erin is particularly passionate about editing and sees this part of a project as where the story really comes to life. She thrives on playing an integral role in molding the final narrative. When she’s not chained to the edit suite or cracking the whip on the post team, you’re likely to find her out loitering in nature or hanging out upside-down entertaining the idea of running away with the circus.
Courtney is Thievery’s Brand Manager, and has been part of the Thievery team since early 2018. Courtney has been obsessed with fashion from a young age, and has the mid-2000’s fashion victim polaroids to prove it. For Court, Thievery Brand has been the ultimate professional adventure, allowing her to combine her sartorial creativity with the challenges of launching and growing a small business.
Outside the studio walls, Courtney (unsurprisingly) loves sketching and sewing as well as consuming large quantities of black coffee and catching summer rays on one of Auckland’s many secret beaches.
Josh has worked with Thievery for the last 3 years. His strengths lie in stills production and photoshop but his skill set also includes producing music and film. Josh enjoys a challenge and brings a fun and creative energy to every project he’s involved in. He is known for his attention to detail, vibrant colours and clean aesthetic.
Outside of Thievery you’ll find him spending quality time with his pug.
Henry has been with Thievery for the past two years. His skill set is diverse and he always enjoys the challenge of a new idea, though his focus lies in film and still life photography.
Henry is somewhat known around the studio as a "camera nerd", and brings a strong technical understanding of lighting and optics to ensure every shoot he works on is executed perfectly.
If he's not on set, you'll likely find him out for a run or anywhere that mixes a good Negroni.
Sith is our motion graphic guru. His strengths lie in post-production; from storytelling to bringing graphic elements to life. With his creative flair and attention to detail, he aspires to make every project pixel perfect. Sith's talents aren’t limited to the computer, he’s a skilled camera man and an all round nice guy.
